Where do I start?

A brief history of Claire…..

I grew up in the small town of Braintree in Essex. Youngest of 4 with 3 older brothers. At the age of 18 moved to Manchester to study acting at Manchester Metropolitan University. Yes you read that right, I wanted to be and actor and indeed an actor I was, for around 10ys I pushed myself until I had enough and was desperate for a change.

The change came. A new career path it would be.  I will admit that this was a challenging time for me. As you will become aware if you read my posts- I find it difficult to not know (this shall be an interesting defect to work on whilst embarking on a career I am a complete novice in)

It didn’t take long for my passion for nature to bring itself to the front. Nature had long become the place I would go to in order to feel grounded, peaceful and connected with myself and the world around me. It was where I could go if I wanted things to make sense.Now having this realisation was a stepping stone but it wasnt the fix all. It started 3.5yrs of trying to find out how I fitted into the world of nature, animals and conservation. Where was my place?

I did what I have been taught and I took action. I believe if I put in the action the right things happen and after several wrong turns, bumps and fails I found myself ecstatically accepting the offer to the traineeship to become ranger for the National Trust

And so this is where you meet me. I am at the beginning of this journey that starts with a 2.5yr traineeship but does not end there….right now I am not sure where it ends….im just putting in the action and trying to remain grateful for the journey.

I feel truly blessed to have been given this opportunity and want to embrace everything that is put in my path.
